Responsibilities:

Assisting with different processes of tax registration;
Preparation and review of income tax returns/filings of both local and international entities;
Assist with the preparation of tax reports and tax projects as required;
Compiling VAT workings and preparing the VAT returns for submission;
Maintaining company accounting records and preparing periodic management reports (monthly, quarterly or yearly);
Preparing statutory financial statements (in line with GAPSME/IFRS) and working closely with auditors to assist with audit deliverables;
Preparing budgets and forecasts and their analysis (where applicable) and assisting in their presentation to management;
Maintaining relevant contact with the tax authorities and tax advisers;
Keeping abreast with direct tax developments.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
2-3 years of relevant professional experience at a corporate service provider;
ACCA or equivalent certification would be appreciated (we will support continuation of studies if part qualified);
Have a good knowledge of the Maltese Income Tax System; Cyprus is a plus;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook);
Strong motivation to work in a challenging and dynamic environment;
Possess and flexible and hand-on approach;
Ability to work with tight deadlines under pressure, while maintaining close attention to detail;
Be well organized and have good planning skills;
Analytical with good problem-solving skills;
Ability to work under own initiative;
Team player with a positive ‘can do attitude’;
